This film is sprawling, flawed and hugely self-indulgent. But none of that matters as it's also hugely enjoyable. Tarantino likes action, but more than anything he likes seeing actors delivering the dialogue he writes for them, clearly shown in this film. A tense, punchy and darkly funny film.
