I visited Verona not knowing anything about the city, and discovered a huge roman amphiheatre in the centre of the town. It is very much like the Colloseum in Rome, however, this is still used as a site for things other than just tourists visiting. Turns out that it is infact a gig venue. While i was in the city ‘Antonello Venditi’ was playing at the Arena and we decided to go to it. It was infact a spectacular show and i was amazed at how this roman building could survive the vibrations and such from the music and thousands of people crammed inside. Very impressive architecture.
